Time To Save Our Beautiful Planet

Welcome to Green Path America

About GreenPathAmerica

Protecting the environment and our natural resources has become a worldwide major concern.  This has ushered in a new era of rapid development of products and services to meet these challenges.  It is the mission of Green Path America to educate and introduce these new products and solutions to our markets and clients. This site is a gathering place for discussions on how to best utilize emerging technologies that are quickly making their way to market. As advocates of green technology, 2010 began with several informal green technology focus groups, and forums were established that captured the knowledge and insights from within the Green Hotel Community.

Mission Statement

Founded in 2010, the mission of the GreenPathAmerica (GPA) is to guide hoteliers on the path to conserve, improve and protect the natural resources and environment in such a manner as to encourage the Traveler to embrace the social and economic benefits as a Green Advocate.  To encourage awareness and participation in preserving the natural environment and the life forms it supports in a delicate, yet complex balance, to the end that we may fulfill the responsibility as trustees of the environment for present and future generations.

“We are a group of experienced hospitality consultants that are knowledgeable and stay on top of emerging technologies that pertain to sustainability”

Our Top Priorities

GPA is committed to increasing the awareness level of conserving our natural resources and improving our environment. As an integral part of this movement we have created the GREEN LODGING EXECUTIVE ADVISORY COUNCIL (GLEAC); a collaboration of Green Hotel Operators to drive our eco-friendly practices. Our goal is to reduce a hotel’s carbon footprint by utilizing sustainable practices in all aspects of their operations. GLEAC strives for active hotel participation as environmental leaders in the hospitality industry. The Council will set the pace for a clear road map of green initiatives while providing ongoing assistance to embracing conservation programs for the Green Hotel. Through GLEAC we are committed to assisting and guiding all stakeholders to achieve Leed and meaningful eco-friendly certifications.

What We Are Doing

Tour Guide to becoming an Eco Friendly Certified Hotel: GPA recommends and guides the hotelier on how to become a Green Seal Certified Property. Green Seal certification is a rigorous evaluation process that relies on internationally recognized methods and procedures. In addition to Green Seal, the hotelier can also become a member of the Audubon Green Leaf Eco-Rating Program. This program is focused on the concept of “co-efficiency” that what’s good for the environment can be good for business as well.

Open the Runway to being Green Lodging Certified: Accelerate a hotel’s green efforts through the assistance of Member Hotel Groups who drive the greening effort at their property and coordinate green programs with one another.

Green Sustainable Benchmarks: Coordinate the participation of member hotels to reveal their quarterly Green Goals and then specify which targeted goals were measurable and attainable. These achievements will help other member hotels to maintain a clear and attainable focus on their greening efforts.

Help Each Other Be Green: In the next decade it will be paramount that hotels demonstrate the importance to become and stay up to date on the green lodging initiative. GLC will continue to promote new initiatives and set innovative guidelines and strive toward the goal to have every hotel green certified.
